Ebony the Cat (Etheree)

EBONY THE CAT (Etheree)

Ebony is pure black    likes isolation
Likes to curl up in some quiet place
And dream wild dreams of stalk and chase
Ebony likes her tuna fish
Half a can on her dish
Each morning at 6:00
Chomp    chomp    lick    lick
Then she’s off
Sated
Shhh!

OH, I love cat poems. HOw did I ever miss this? And an etheree to boot!! When you asked me "did you really visit" What were you referring to? the museums? I saw the Metropolitan. I don't know much about NYC, but the Modern ARt museum is something different from the Metropolitan, isnt' it? I saw the Metropolitan, not the other one. Luv, Andrea

Daver, this is so sweet and exactly how a cat behaves. It brought a smile to my face. My cat thinks he can talk and has morning conversations with me. I love etherees. This is a great one! Aloha, Connie I have been away for some time, ill with a cold but feeling better now. It is good to be back reading Soup poems again.

The reverse etheree is an acceptable variation of the form--the fact that you did one is a compliment. Sorry you viewed it as a correction. I like people that can look beyond the standard. Keep up the good writing. Karen

Fresh Tuna? Will you adopt me, Daver? Your cat has a wonderful home...or should I say catS? The "old codger" is an animal lover! But does he like Simon and Garfunkel?
