Black as the night
My sable soul sings
Songs praising Nubian
Ancestors dancing
To treed thoughts
Rooted in the womb
Of my pregnant
Poetic mind…
Such is the essence
Of poetic labors of love
And the orgasmic Nile flow
Of impregnating
Words of wisdom
Watering inspiration
And thigh-warming
Navel awareness
Rebirthing chosen
Mission purpose…
Indeed my beloved
Ancestors:
To not know where
We go from here
Is bad
And not to engage
In working out
Where
And how
Is worst…
