Easy Street in the Morning

Walking down the street after waking up early in the morning, it becomes apparent that my hand is free from adornments. My left ring finger is free of any ring. Maybe it is sad. I have a freedom that most men would cry for and then admit to their mates that they are happy. In theory, I am capable of doing anything compared to others. I drive to the covered car park, and I make my way to the coffee shop after paying the meter toll. What makes this life doable is that I have no one to answer to and no sense of fear.
As I order my strong coffee with a sandwich, I scroll through the networks for some reading. At times, I’ll pull out the Book and read it as I have found a new purpose in life. As I mentioned earlier, I have no one to answer to, but I received a text from a loved one. The message is of passion and love. Her words are like a kiss to my body and belly. The question is whether I have eaten yet. It is a question of love as she is concerned about my health. She asks me if I slept well. These are questions that a spouse would ask. God has allowed her to ask these questions with concern.
Could it be that she is prioritizing the needs of her child over her own and mine? She blesses me in everything I do. I have reciprocated her words and even blessed her child. I ask her the same questions as I can feel her struggle in my heart. God wants us to build strength individually before we can make a life together. A man who can dream of a future with another and accept her is a true man who is in the process of being her sword and shield, just as she will be his sword and shield. Love is a fire that burns for warmth and burns for protection.
I see her as my future wife, as I constantly think and pray about her well-being.
No matter the distance, we will become unified as God has ordained. Each time I ask the question of truth, she keeps appearing in my thoughts. No matter the distance, her words are like a hug to my spirit. Even when people are scattered among the nations, God will always bring them together.
I may have no ring on my finger, but my commitment is in my heart. The coffee in my stomach is the only thing that has entered my mouth. Her words are in my soul, and the other words of the Divine are in my spirit.
Let others envy my life, as they have chosen a life of ease, while I have chosen to walk on Truth Avenue with shoes meant for Easy Street.
When I have a ring, they will be more envious as I have found my missing rib.
