Easily Led Astray

As doubt festers within my heart; our future's suddenly unclear. And confronting lies and deceit, I'm left on the verge of a tear. An alternate reality clouded what I refused to see. For I was infatuated by the concept that you loved me. Separate, and yet connected; I was easily led astray. And we shared intimate moments, till betrayal drove love away. A clash of rival emotions reigns over desire and fury. And in the court of hurt feelings, truth presides as judge and jury. Despite your manipulations, I'll miss your charisma and charm. And yet, I choose to walk away; before you do any more harm.
