Earth's Porch, Embracing Spring's Rebirths,
Sonnet number V of XII
Mark the blessings of Spring's new rains
cascade of showers and new life
Start of relief, from winter's pains
true gift of fading away strife.
From glowing of gems comes bright smiles
hope and joy in this season's birth
Joining of delight, to walk miles
have newfound faith for all its worth.
For he that shuns not loving light,
may learn yet again to re-see
Open eyes to far greater sight
beauty of heart's gifts, shade of tree
Earth's porch, looking into abyss
Humanity begs more of this.
