Earthbound

I'm Earthbound,
Star gazing from the ground.
Reassured as familiar stars return each season,
Reflecting why I’m still here - the reason?

In dreams my astral body soars on high,
Free of gravity and mortal cares that mystify.
Happily visiting loved ones who've passed,
Delighted by artful visions my imagination's cast.

On change and endings Earthlings can rely,
So seeking love and beauty, our needy souls must try.
Beyond survival, curiosity amuses, my mind expands,
Though the more I learn, the less I understand.

Ethereal musings aside,
Sensual Earthbound pleasures help me bide,
Through coming seasons and events beyond my ken,
That test intentions to aid others now and then.
