Earth the Mother Element
Each heart that beats
and mouth that feeds,
All that you hold is her
In her various avatars.
The trees and the trucks,
The birds and the buck;
All that abound this planet,
Are sculpted from her.
Everyday I see her happy,
I see her sad;
She experiences a range of emotions,
In her various forms.
The food that I eat,
The ground beneath my feet,
That shelter over me,
Owe their existence to her.
I need to respect
and protect my Earth,
For the truth is -
I am a mere embodiment of Her.
