Earth Love

Here it is again -- Tradition Style

                              wrapped in sweet sun warmth
kissed and caressed by the winds
                                   earth shakes beneath us

I love the craft you have created David. It's as if the words are carried by waves or the wind to spread their meaning. Nice one, James :)

David, your first rendition is called a shaped form, or a concrete poem, where the words are arranged to denote or in the shape of the subject of your poem. Your placement of the words in your first example suggests the wrapping in warmth, and the movement of the wind. Good job!

I do enjoy your poems and look forward to always reading them. Thank-you for your comments -- I am never sure if some of these forms add or subtract from the words -- I was hoping this would add an echo effect.

Sorry David I just added you to my list of favorite poets, I didn't know you weren't already there. It helps to add you to most popular poets list so I hope others are remembering to add you to their list.

Maurice, your generosity is very kind . . . I had added you shortly after I started posting here . . . I recognized a deep passion in your writings -- a gusto for life -- abundant life! I love this type of spirit. Thank-you for your support -- you will always have mine.

I loved it David, personally I would lose the explanation at the end but it's your call. I found it easy to read and understand and I found it was brilliant. A Fav.

David, I really like your creative formatting here. When I first looked at it, it kind of reminded me of "English Sentencing Diagramming" from many years removed for me. But, again, quite interesting and most artful. And the "Earth Love" content too is great!! A "7" for you and I will FAV this one for record!! Best Always, Gary
