HI Paul, thank you. I live close to Sutter's Fort here in Ca. ..my son played James Marshall( he is the one who discovered the gold) in a 6th grade play.what fun weve had with the gold rush over the years. Barbara

Simple but true. An Australian, Edward Hargreaves noticed the terrain was the same around his home place so he went back and discovered Gold and started a Gold Rush in Australia.
