Earth and All Stars

Earth and all stars, streaming through nightly-ness,
soaring the deep-purple fathomless maze.
Keep safe and hold all who in living-ness
rest in deep shadow 'til nights yield to days.

Cool, silent moon, bridge the dark's lonely-ness
lend us the glow from your soft, silver face.
Help stay our fear, turn gloom into happy-ness.
Brighten our path as we cross the deep trace.

Gold sun and sky, warm each day's glory-ness,
brilliant and whole as we work, live and play.
Your light is day, star of most near-ness,
comfort each life on this world you survey.

Sun, moon and stars, each hold eternal-ness
marking all time as our earth soars through space.
Shine forth and burn, so soft in your glowing-ness,
share your celestial and gleaming embrace.

                                Earth and All Stars

**After the contemporary Christian hymn.
