Early Morning Walk
The door opens
like a gateway
to nirvana
ravaging the dark
with the outside light
Sun glaring down
like a stern parent
disapproving the showering
of such grace
on undeserving kids
Chirping birds
barking dogs
feral cats
on the prowl
All a symphony
of morning glory
on the summer day
from heaven
Trekking along
winding roads
as nature opens up
before us
Our bodies
seek to unlock
from restrictive
digital positions
No technology here
microchips cannot
replace the unrivaled
pleasure that
nature offers
the body, spirit
and soul
