Early Morning

The Fog is thick and the morning is quiet
And the sound of the birds fills my ears.
My eyes are closed and I can feel my heart beat
Thump thump, thump thump, thump thump.
The glow from the early rising sun gleams down through the trees,
Hitting the white clouds of fog its rays shatter this way and that,
As if the son of man was right in front of me
I open my bible to the perfect text for the morning.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only son,
That whosoever believes in him should not perish,
But have everlasting life."
The text seems to float in the air.
I stand up and walk away from the scene
With a promise, and hope for a new future.
