Early Morning

I welcome morning to my bountiful day
Enjoy the simple beauty of my early start
Each moment a gift of natures’ play
I breath the peace of earth into my heart

A robin hops about my new cut lawn
The sun shines through the parted cloud
Worms wiggle to greet this glorious dawn
The birds hear something tasty and loud

Good things come to those who search
There goes a bunny to get my yummy flower
I see an owl up on his highest perch
While my princess wakes up in her bower

The coffee smells of the sweetest perfume
To tease the princess from her nightly gloom
The robin got his breakfast meal alright
But the bunny escaped the prowl to my delight

Caren Krutsinger July 12, 2019 at 9:10 AM "There goes a bunny to get my yummy flower" made me smile. I planted clover in my yard to attract the bunnies. All the neighbors tell me they think the bunnies are all gone. They are actually in my yard. Jeanne Mcgee July 12, 2019 at 9:31 AM I would love your yard then...I have a big fondness for bunnies!
