Early Bird Special

Heard that the early bird catches the worm By now I should have a real big batch I'm always up at the crack of dawn With a feeling of exhilaration unmatched Joyfully welcoming that big yellow ball Singing some happy little ditty Even if I won a million dollars in the lotto Couldn't be happier, well maybe an itsy bitsy Wish everybody could feel this amazing joy The world would be a much happier place No wars no conflict just pure sweet love Wearing a perpetual smile on your face Seems like forever I've been called a dreamer I wouldn't want it any other way Just can't imagine how some people feel Wearing a sad frown every day Heard that the early bird catches the worm Well I certainly believe that it's true Just start every day with a happy little song And the sun will shine brightly on you © Jack Ellison 2013

I'm up BEFORE the crack of dawn. It's an animal conspiracy. The cats and dogs climb all over the bed... to get an earlier yum yum for breakfast. But I just roll back over and they settle down for another freaking fifteen minutes! We don't need alarm clocks around here and the fifteen minutes is enough to get myself going. As I get up its like sharks circling their prey... I call them my little land sharks... LOL

I do believe that joy is coming from God. You can't force yourself if you don't feel joy. If one does not have it, just ask Him. Great poem as usual, Jack. I do love the morning but getting out of bed is hard to do :)

I sometimes get up before the sun, but usually it greets me before I wake, but coming up is daylight savings time and it gets even darker in the morning so I will beat the sun for a little while anyways! I am envious of those that can wake up with such energy, I must fight my way out of bed then try and stay awake all during the morning it seems like! Unless something phenomenal is happening that day, you never know what that could be! Sometimes the Soup can wake me up! You have done Great Work!
