Eagerness
Great eagerness in the pursuit of wealth, pleasure,
or honor, cannot exist without sin. Desiderius Erasmus
I must begin by saying, "It is not always true that sin
consumes any pursuit of wealth, pleasure, or honor.
Not everyone's pursuit has identical motives;
Nor does the level of passion have to be tainted.
Indeed, narcissists are not the sole owners of noble pursuits.
Moreover, the impact of noble pursuits has peripheral benefits.
Indeed, there can be pure pleasure without immorality.
Certainly, there can be legitimate honor without selfishness.
Yes, wealth can be either earned or inherited without greed.
If the pursuer is pure, his passionate pursuit can also be.
