Each To His Own Taste
Each To His Own Taste
By Elton Camp
A display of canned squid in the store
It’s a thing I’ve never seen before
That food is fine as far as I know
I’d never want to try it though
To eat a squid canned in ink!
“It’s so disgusting,” I think
“Extra Quality” doesn’t entice
I have no interest in the price
Yet no logical reason can I supply
Why this I’d refuse to eat or buy
An animal with its eyes in place
On my plate, I don’t want to face
Likewise, I don’t regard a treat
Cat, dog, snake or horse meat
Call me a hillbilly if you will
Eating squid gives me no thrill
