Each Time We Go a Stray

I know He'll guide
our feet
I know He'll light
our way
I know He'll gently
lead us back
Each time we go a
stray

There are times in
life we stumble
We falter and we
fail
We feel that no one
understands
We feel that no one
cares

We start to go our
own way
We question God and
cry
We wonder what's the
point of life
Why should we even
try

We know we shouldn't
look at
The places from our
past
But it's right there
in Jesus hands
Our burdens we
should cast

He tells us in His
Holy Word
He's always by our
side
He'll never leave us
lonely
But with us will
abide

If only we'll rely
on Him
Through each and
every day
We'll be surrounded
by his love
And hear Him gently
say

My child, I'll guide
your feet
And I will light
your way
I'll gently lead you
back to Me
Each time you go a
stray

Inspired! A few of my pieces have religious overtones too.

Thank God for His mercy and faithfulness to us! This truth, the truth of His unconditional love, is something we can count on day by day! I've been blessed by your lovely write!
