Each Day

EACH DAY

EACH DAY EMPTIER THAN A WINE BOTTLE
You hold on so tight yet eventually you want to let go
You smile that smile that lifts me high
Yet now you want to keep it within
Then each day you take a step back
Are you scared? But scared of what?

EACH DAY UNOCCUPIED THAN YESTERDAY
You want me to stand
Look at you as you walk away
With those gifted hands that kept me strong
Yet I feel I can’t stay spaced out
Scared that I won’t find my custom

EACH DAY MORE CALAMITOUS THAN ONE EVER KNOWN
You never come out straight
For your heart has conflicts
And you can’t decide
You make my life seem so terrible
Scared of losing you
Afraid of feeling empty

WOW! This is a deep and powerful piece! It's sad when the one you love, doesn't love you enough to make a commitment. Excellent write, Renitah! Keep these wonderful reflective pieces coming! A7! Pandita
