Each Day

Each day...

the earth shakes
and the
ground trembles.

I lose my
footing
and
fall, watching
as the world
surrounding me
spins
and
melts
together.

Panic ensues
around me.
The sad sky
turns dark.

Crumpled
in a
heap

I
seize.
