E P

I do regret having our times before as not well spent

I love you for every thing that you are and for every place that we have been

I open my heart and leave it unguarded to you, waiting as patiently as one in love can

I wanted you to see what I have become

I wanted to lock hearts with you somewhere out in the open

As two people fighting for each others love each grasping to win

I'm a little lost in your love and all these people do make it a sin

I want to share a phrase of love, It is- I will promise to always give in

Your my husband I shouldn't have to break you

And that is my biggest sin, in one way or another I should learn to give

Learn to give, the feelings, the understandings learn to add lib

But today I guess I'll just sit here hoping

That our love will carry you here

Tomorrow may bring every emotion I have to give

And today I decided that there is nothing to forgive

On reading this poem I feel as if I'm intruding; my place is on the verge, listening to your heartfelt words, tempted to intervene and yet convincing myself that I shouldn't. Is a lot expected from us in love? Can we deliver? Are we expected to please, even if nothing is returned? Should we have to chose between rebellion and submission? // paul

thanks Paul I was studing continental plates and earthquakes, love is what you make of it I guess. You read my poem well, even with the typos.. I guess if a love wants- it pursues even if just for a tempory fix for the emotions. I read some of your poem I like your styles and you subject matter, thanks again Ruth
