Dying On the Last Turn

Dying on the last turn

I do know that good things have been done
Maybe a nation has been saved or a great battle has been braved
Could never right all wrongs
From the promise of a dead guy
We lost on the last turn

Shoe fly ...shoe
Was buzzing in my ear
Knowing you'll be heard
Instead of eaten by a bird

Exhausting limits of retrieving that picture of feeling new
My hands my truth my word my care my love my deja-vu
There was a time to dream, A time for fun, A time for Love
laying down breathing easy now. Our freedom turned to dust
Shoe fly go freeze yourself for a million years
Scorpions and rattlesnakes alligators and crocodiles
Somewhere from day one
What guides your spirit when someone takes it away
Power lies in the lust of a nation
Spirit from the first breathe of man
