Dying

Will it come today
Will I know the time
What will cause this thing
When shall I prepare.
Now or tomorrow

Can I feel pain
Will I be sad
Will I be glad
Difference how

Life will end
Love may cease
Is this peace

Simply stated, yet with a depth that leaves the reader something to ponder. I like the straight forward approach you take in this poem. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and for your kind words regarding my poem. Keep on writing! Karen

death can be peace in a way, especially if the person that has died is no longer in pain, even though the ones that are left behind will be saddened by this loss, wonderful write, take care D-nyce

This is an intense write my friend, great form and contemplations of death... I have skated on the thin lines of life and death for more years than I'd like to think about. As long as you feel that you are doing the best that you can and your life some similitude of order, don't worry about that which cannot be changed and embrace life to the fullest, physical death is just leaving the latter to embrace the eternal reward of Life everlasting... God's Love and Many Blessings, Always, Adell

Hopefully it will be the start of the second part of a journey that will end in eternal happiness. Food for thought. Vince

There is nothing more certain when we are born that we will die. Sometimes we look for it, some times we dread it, but in the end we will experience it. I think that the fear of the unknown is probably the worst for us. Well written

I would have to agree with Joseph - Spending many years in Prison I have seen the shadow dancers of death Parade down the halls at night - Death is something that can happen in the wink of an eye _ God Bless
