Dweller of our heart

Juan Paco Pedro De La Mar
why were you mean to me
i was so ing hot
i lost my sexual power
to your perfect ginger dick
i am not going to be what you want me to be
i am not the lost tortured small woman who gives you power
the scent of my flower self has been washed out
but something new is coming
made of waterfalls, campfires, king size beds
i can feel it on the horizon of my soul
a fresh brightness of joy and rain
a paloma sweetened with honey syrup
you surprise me with a message after all this time
i really appreciate you letting me know you still love me
go ahead and think about me
i want to cry to taylor swifts shake it off
it feels good *******

Your poem is a raw confrontational expression of a difficult relationship. The title/opening lines create a jarring contrast with the aggressive tone that follows, it is effective in portraying the emotional turmoil. The poem's abrupt shifts in tone and imagery, from anger to an almost tender, sarcastic acceptance of the past, make the ending feel more complex. It's a poem that aims to make the reader uncomfortable, reflecting the uncomfortable feelings of the speaker. Shake it...and him...off.

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
