Dusty Lane

Dust swirls up from the country lane
Traffic stirs clouds of gravel and sand
And swearing from the unhappy profane
Dust swirls up from the country lane
Driving unhappy housewives insane
The natural result of crusty, dry land
Traffic stirs clouds of gravel and sand
Dust swirls up from the country lane.

Makes me think of those hot summers in the Midwest, and the farmers trying to plow their fields and getting caught in giant clouds of dust, love the line about the unhappy housewives :)

Thanks so much, Michelle. Yes, I can recall those days.
