Dusk

When you’re on an endless highway is there any hope at all that a destination will be reached, and you can finally fall back in the arms of the one you lost, in the home you left behind? For despite the years spent traveling, more highway’s all I find. They say that life’s a journey, comprised within a dream. A quest designed to test the will and faith in things unseen. So each day when the sun sinks low and the highway fades to dusk, I look and see you standing there and know I that can trust. Thus, I keep traveling on and on and fight this empty stare, and fill the time with dreams of when… I’ll finally reach you there.
