Funny how most women expect a ring when they are proposed to - I got my engagement ring from my husband on our wedding day - I thought he had forgotten, but he felt that the day we got married would be more important appropriate - A witty poem Kim but I see below that it was a dummy ring and he still had the real one, clever write. Thank you for sharing your story! I too hd the wedding ring not the diamond though he gave me one on our 10th anniversary...still I never wear it. But our golden bands are unique :)

Well the young man on a surf board used a dummy ring knowing he would probably drop the real thing which he left behind. He wanted to propose on his surf board.
