Duality of Spring

A day had come when sullen skies had cleared The sun shined down to melt the cold away Forgotten were the things that I had feared Resigned my books to eat the sun that day But while my skin was saying thanks for sun, The forecast seemed to have conflicting plans I felt no longer that the day was won As rain and shadow covered soaking lands I stared out from my window sill in wait To see the clouds begin to turn around But all my time was only filled with hate As puddles made their beds into the ground For days I despaired, but not once did see A ray of loving light dancing for me
