Dry the sky

What have we done to our great Earth?
Why do we steal the sun to make life for some much, much worse?
Why do we dry the sky and watch our crops fail?
Why do we laugh it off and blame God’s ways?

What have we done to make it right?
Too little, too late is how we fight?
Fight for nature, fight for life?
Or is the only ‘green’ we see worth fighting for in bills, pennies and dimes?

What have we done to clean the air?
What done have we to not confuse nature’s patterns and rhythms that existed for millions of years before we decided not to care?

Why do we level the trees for nothing but greed?
Why do we feed the rich so freely and watch the poor bleed?
Why do we live to waste when there is human need?

Are we human or are we parasite or both indeed?
