Mystic Rose Rose, congratulations on your win for the evocative poem. Your words intertwine a mesmerizing story, conjuring images of an artist's touch and memories as invisible as air. The portrayal of your visage, aging flower of old, resonates with the soul of a lion. Your poetic prowess shines through, creating a vivid canvas of survival in the parched landscape of emotions. Bravo on this compelling piece! - Blessings, Daniel

Taken in by the title and held my breath the whole way through, from bone to stone. Your ending is particularly poignant and pulls together the interplay of artist / writer and subject. Really beautiful work. Congratulations :)

an exquisite write, dear Rose! I felt deep emotions as I read your poem--one that spoke of life experiences between you (the artist) and the art. I also appreciated the Virginia Woolf reference. I imagine that you, like Virginia Woolf, have the 'soul of a lion.' Truly brilliant, Rose. Blessings, Sara

You have to throw paint on those virgin canvases... I like how you wrote this, its a bit sensual in parts, with the non violate kiss and eyes of a cougar.... are you a fn of Virginia Woolf? Enjoyed the ending also... Nice poem my friend..
