Dry and Desperate

This longing in my heart A yearning as deep as the ocean An emptiness in my soul A void as the depth of the hades Like a fallen branch from off the vine I am as dead as the dried leaf Sired by a bloated wish and questions Hungry I am for a will to fulfill Lost to the course of myself The hang over I get from a spiralling world A warring peace erupts from deep within Fruition fails, failure is faithful An unsettled spirit lurks within this soul Dry, desperate, despondent 'n debilitating The goings of the living is a preparation to cease living My heart and my flesh cry out forthwith to be filled
