Notes About The Poem

Drunk On Her Freedom

Every day of her life she loves being drunk,
Drunk from within and without,
Drunk with the happy she feels in her bones,
Drunk in the feeling of now,

And she’s free to brighten the room with a grin,
Free to float on a high,
Free to be drunk with her emotional raw,
Free to float through the sky,

And spread a complete, absolute love,
Spread it here there everywhere,
Spread happy on the whim of her over stretched arm,
Letting petals float off in the air,

Every day of her life she loves being drunk,
Where ever she stands, runs or walks,
We all should get drunk with being nice and happy,
I think that’s a sobering thought.

Hi Robert. This poem is a few years old now but never considered for a contest. Thought it might fit your ideas though. :)

"Free to float through the sky, And spread a complete, absolute love, Spread it here there everywhere, Spread happy on the whim of her over stretched arm, Letting petals float off in the air," - this was enough; beautifully said.
