Notes About The Poem

Druid Shaman

My heart bleeds But I'm immune The shaman walks In the midwinter moon The hawk guides me On my path today Under the wandering willow My heart does stray The wolf my ally With the Raven, I fly No man can touch me With the serpent, I lie I have lived many times In many forms, I've been My soul is immortal This universe I've seen Mysteries are unraveled In the initiate’s eyes Seeing only the light In the darkest of skies

Your wolf brothers would be proud of this 'sighted' poem, your animal guides are with you. There are many ways of seeing, my friend, and to control such sight is a challenge. By the way, I checked out that book you recommended ~ very cool.

Very mystical feel. It reminds me of the books I have read about Indians and their ways of 'seeing'. My great Grandfather was full blooded Indian, so that heritage has always been interesting to me.. Great write Rick :)

Very mystically alluring poem, WW. The last stanza is so universal ... everyone can relate to it. Just beautifully worded ... mysteries are unraveled in the initiates eyes ... seeing only the light in the darkest of skies. Pure poetry. Splendid poem, my Aussie friend. Love always.

it's too bad you can't enter your own contest. This sound very Native American: your words are pure and concise.

Yes, there are MANY similarities with the Druid traditions and Native Americans! Even similar ancient stories! You have a keen eye, Anne-Lise! An open eye if you will! In an old post of mine, I mentioned one story, in particular, that was shared by both! Having to do with an eagle and a wren! I always enjoy seeing your comments /|\

Kahlil Gibran: A poet is a bird of unearthly excellence, who escapes from his celestial realm arrives in this world warbling. If we do not cherish him, he spreads his wings and flies back into his homeland. /|\

Lightworkers are here to spread love and light through the hands of the Creator...many poets are lightworkers...because one can not express more of oneself except through words and art...music follows as well...lightworkers resonate at a higher level of conscienceness ...some don't even know it... may the light be with you Wolfie lol...^WW^
