Drugs Don'T Work
That lifestyle’s bringing you weakness
It’s the reason you feel defeated
Use that booze and beak less
Or the downer is repeated
Clarity brings peace of mind
pollution caused by toxic lines
carrying a release of bliss so fine
downers haunt the end of night
Now you find trouble coping
taking drugs that leave minds broken
tomorrow further down the slope when
The cannabis is what you’re smoking
The body can’t take it
the mind is breaking
and if it’s broken
you won’t be coping
Drugs are really a poison you take
it sees your cells destroys and breaks
sending your brain a joy most fake
Til the come down when you awake
It’s the damage and repair causing that feeling
as your body craves the repair kit needed
vitamin, mineral and supplement seeking
the hangover is your body weakened
It needs until the following weekend
but that same day you put more beak in
the brain thinks the body ain’t creaking
as you pour that toxic in all evening
Waking up with your inside warred
supplies of good health need much more
as organs work feeling floored
up high under hood the brain is short
Stress and strain to do the norm
You can’t physically or mentally perform
and you can’t sit and stop the storm
Your body ain’t hot so it operates warm
This means you’re not thinking straight
when you put your hand out and see it shake
things like stress and depression it makes
so stop that poison toxic intake
It’s called a come down but it’s sabotage
you pollute your lungs and your heart
leave your brain cells oxygen starved
Drugs don’t help they make life hard.
