Notes About The Poem

Drowning In Clouds

Falling upwards
into the skies.
In those depths
note new highs.
See it all
through other eyes.

Seek sound questions
truth speaks loud.
Holding those thoughts
makes us proud.
Finding our mind
inside a cloud.

Dare to go deep
fearless with no sighs.
Don't think to fail
needn't wonder why.
Best we can do
is give it a try.

When down dips far
and up you stare,
as fools swirl around
sanity is rare.
Embrace sky views
come up for air.

With each gasp
notions now grasped.
Think those things through
since time has past.
Fly diving deeply
here at last.

Life's not well lived
by splashing around.
Nor by making
pretensions profound.
If others weren't kind
we would then have drowned.
