Drowning

grief consumes me like a flood
I  cannot stay afloat
the life boat is sinking fast
there is no rescue boat
emptiness as vast as the sea
burdens me to my soul
the light is nowhere to be found
my head is spinning out of control
i miss you and it won't heal
