Drowning
Dark winds whisper incoherent lies
Swirling through imagination’s portal
Wherein black hawks screech and
The lone hound howls
Beseeching, warning
Impending abyss
Where deep dank despair awaits
Lowering its curtain of oppression
Like a finely spun web
Black widow licks her lips hungrily
Seeds sown here give way to broken distorted thoughts
Innocence twisted to darkness
Reason breaks through
Sheds the light of hope
Relief
