Drowned God

Soft tongue, sharp teeth Leave unto me your poetry like a wreath Ivory skin, translucent. You breathe color unto me, Wreak ravishing horrors. We become Dionysus’s servants Dance, dancing mad, tremulous whispers lulling me further Into the eye of the maelstrom. Twisty and dark, your salty kiss burns and deteriorates. You spit out the bones, the tarry flesh, cracks besmirched ivory A rusted over echo Of a copy of a copy of a copy

I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Loved your reference to Dionysus (I'm a Greek mythology buff). This is a well-crafted piece, and I especially enjoyed the last line. Kudos; great job! :)
