Drops

Drop
Drop
Patter
Patter patter
Pattering pattering rain

You forgot to bring an umbrella
But as you stand in the gentle rain
You soon forget, too
You ever needed one

An outstretched hand catches but a few
You turn your face to the sky to better feel more
Water beads flying by
A tangible view of a different perspective

In the company of the sound of the drops
Life is at a standstill here
The greyness of the world to the eye
Somehow is so beautiful
In the rain

Rainau, congratulations... I hope you don't mind your placement in my contest. Out of past experience, I know many don't like when I don't have a first or second placement. However, this is my judgment, and it only feels right, to place each poem, in the order I would have, as if there had been a first or second placement. Believe me, I'm not taking from you or your winning poem. Hugs, and enjoy my blog, "Conundrum" if you'd like. Have yourself a sweet day. ...always Linda
