Drop It

If I could of been there,
I would have been.

You left without me.

Your life was full of people you say you didn't want.
A life so comfortable without me.

If I could of been at your show,
I would have been.

You did it on your own.

I heard you,
I've listened to your sound.
I've seen you.

You may not want to see yourself but I do.
Your life is funny.

"There was this cat, right?"

It's funny to see,
it's funny to hear.

There should be more of you to see,
to hear.

You're doing it again?
When can I see it?
When can I hear it?
Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street?

I'm not alone in waiting,
in following you.

Kazoos.
Bikes.
Hopscotch.
I'd wave, "Come on!"

We can't wait to see you.
We can't wait to hear you.
