Driving Too Fast

Always ahead of myself
looking at landscapes through
smudges of worry
clouding the rear view mirror
of my mind.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Thank you Linda. I haven't written much poetry lately. I'm polishing a novel manuscript. Your encouraging words make me think perhaps I should check in on my poetry muse and see if she has anything for me! May the muse be with you! Sydney

Hi Sydney, Nice spacial elements and concise images illustrated in a straightforward manner here. Interesting blending of the philosophical and psychological reflective passage of time as well. Keep up the good work. Take care. Earl

I like this- sometimes I too get caught up in all the things going wrong-or that I think will go wrong-and I forget to take notice of what is right. Your poem reminds me to do so today. Thank you. :-)
