'dripping Sweetness'
I picked a fragrant rose,
dulcet and perfumed soft,
kissing, the honeyed petals,
rich, dark and dripping sweetness,
oh, I love the scent of bright red roses!
and I carried it to you,
my dearest, my precious,
adorable and treasured one,
you, my delicate sweet darling,
oh, I still recall your soft beloved touch!
melodious, the birds sing,
a pleasurable song in the trees,
the sky azure, lovely, the sun gold,
I press the red rose to my rosy cheek,
oh, my beloved feline, I lay it at your grave!
