'dripping Sweetness'

I picked a fragrant rose, dulcet and perfumed soft, kissing, the honeyed petals, rich, dark and dripping sweetness, oh, I love the scent of bright red roses! and I carried it to you, my dearest, my precious, adorable and treasured one, you, my delicate sweet darling, oh, I still recall your soft beloved touch! melodious, the birds sing, a pleasurable song in the trees, the sky azure, lovely, the sun gold, I press the red rose to my rosy cheek, oh, my beloved feline, I lay it at your grave! ______________________________ July 23, 2015 Poetry/Verse/'dripping sweetness' Copyright Protected, 15- 1127-361-0 All Rights Reserved. Constance, your poem is "dripping sweetness" for all of us who have lost "beloved felines." (And other beloved pets too.) Congratulations on your win on Mile 27 of my 2019 Poetry Marathon Contest. Your support of my contest has contributed to its success, and for that I am very grateful. ~Mark
