Notes About The Poem

Drifter

Drifter

Coming in from nowhere,
staying only a moment,
and then moving on.
Friend, or foe?
Hard to know.
What to call you...
by name?

Without family,
left alone but not lonely.
A warrior left behind
in the battle of life.
Separated from those
that mattered...
by those that did not care.

Go home...
There is still time.
Go back and find the path,
that went from your place of worth,
to the realm of chaos.
Prodigal son, loved... missing daughter,
return and find your true value.

Forgiven.

Well put together Ann I can see you have Thought over this piece, and you touch on Thoughts of yearning and reality I have studied..) Is it the case that we search ostensibly for home? Yet are we really looking for the eternal Home? The reality is we must loose all on earth Because that's how we get to realise more About the journey we are all on.' We must deal With each loss whatever it is, and in doing look For the gain that may be realised this is the Paradox of carnal/spiritual living.'
