Dressing Room Woes

Dressing room to try dresses on.
It was a no-go.
Pain was agonizing, excruciating.
To make matter worse -
4 teens in one dressing room,
2 girls, 2 guys.
Can you tell me why
the department store staff doesn’t
handle this and it is as if you
are the complainer, as if
they are doing you a favor.
Then I hear the guys
and their excuses. Oh the pain.
“Honey, it’s not you, but I can’t stay.”
I tell this to my husband, and we’re
on our way. The timing was all off.
I just couldn’t take it. It was psychological.
It was physical. It was too much.
It was pretty much a 9 out of 10,
just before tears. I will try again soon
to find a dress for my cruise.
Doc has spurred me on my way.
Took a month to get in as a new
patient…oh to be that patient!

Gosh I never heard of such dressing room problems. Were you in a Walmart or something. Sorry about that, Kim

Time to buy on Amazon, methinks -- even if it means returning a few items on occasion.

Yeah, I wish! But I finally got “some” relief and it was doable! Found the dress!

Yup, literally! Finally went back and found a dress. Some pain still, but less.

Your doctor is overloaded with patients. And I agree with you about having males in your dressing room.

It was for a new patient visit. I believe that is why it too so long. These other docs have gotten me in right away! Praise the Lord!

I hope you enjoy the cruise and find that perfect dress. I don't buy dresses anymore because my body is falling apart. LOL..I like pants with a jacket or a pantsuit. What once was up high now hangs low and what was low now is poking up high so dresses just don't help at all. LOL.. Sad about 4 teens in a dressing room with the boys in the room with them. I enjoyed reading your work. My daughter went on two cruises this year, but she ordered all her outfits. Sara K

Thank you for your comment, Sara! I appreciate it. I hope you are doing well. I like to try things on. I did find a dress. Still was in some pain, yesterday, but got it done. Hugs

Dear Kim, such a chaotic and frustrating experience. What really stands out is the feeling of being trapped and overwhelmed by the sheer noise and lack of respect and not just the loud teens, but the systemic issue with the store staff who made you feel like you were the problem. It takes strength to recognize when a moment is completely unsalvageable and walk away. I truly hope your next attempt at finding that cruise dress is quiet, successful, and pain-free. Autumn Blessings, Kim, Daniel

oh to be patient while you're enduring discomfort. Shared dressing rooms? That's a hard 'no' for me.

And it wasn’t! They should not have been in there!

That is not very supporting for any store to have a shared dressing room. How do they stay in business, Aloha, William?

And it’s not. The men’s dressing room is elsewhere in the store. They knew better but pretend not to and today people are told to ignore and then the customer needs to get involved. Ridiculous! Hugs

I look forward to better times. Craziness can't last forever. This dressing room comingling is insulting. I am happy you brought this up.

I am so sorry to hear of your angst…sending you a hug. I successfully slow walked with my grandson today. Medicine is working. Leg is not perfect but so much better than it was.

Hello Kim Rodrigues, I do not think that a male should be inside a female dressing room. The men should have their own dressing room. /Darlene/

And they do and they knew it. They couldn’t even say “yes, ma’am” to the sales clerk.
