Dreary Sea I Weary
I'm resting on a gloomy shore.
I'm surrounded by a pulsing roar.
In the water, flowers bloom
Underneath the silver dune.
I'm always falling in this lagoon,
Floating in a never-ending trance.
Interlude with a hazy moon
In my youth, I fell in a romance.
There isn't a sound of mine in the sky.
This is a silent kiss upon my cry,
Draining the seas of thine, dry.
I’m resting on a gloomy desert.
I’m surrounded by a calming song.
In the sand, no flowers drink;
Underneath a gray dune I lay along,
My withering soul will sink.
