Dreamy Actresss
The theater I accomplished when I was young,
I always hoped to become a stage and screen actress.
Appeared on stage in "Our Town" to an appreciative audience,
Acted beside an accomplished man.in the community.
These are good memories,
I took courses in the city and graduated with a certificate.
I had my picture photographed for my resume,
I have a copy at home.
I didn't know that you needed an agent,
I am actually quite shy.
I put my lines on cue cards,
Wore the dress I wore as a bridesmaid at my brother's wedding.
Caressed the stage with a very nice man,
The stage play was very successful.
I didn't act again, I did take courses in theater at York University,
Went on to study teaching drama and received an A.
I was very proud of myself,
I said you are better at teaching than acting.
The dream continues,
As a senior I could learn a poem and song to audition for local
theater.
These are the dreams of a senior,Good to have performed,
I also performed as a vocalist which I found very satisfying.
Sang a solo at the senior;s residence,
Elvis Presley's :Wiseman Say", which was well-received.
These are my hopes and dreams,
I am very thankful and happy to have experienced this all.
