Come to me sweetheart in the space of a dream
Tell me "have patience, one day this will seem
Like a dream, though it was, but it's not anymore"
Then together at last I can start to adore
You the way that I long to with a hug and a kiss
On the way up the mountain of romance and bliss
I'll carry you there in my arms, safe and sound
There with you forever I'll never come down
I don't need to surround myself with many friends
You're the best one I have and with you I'd spend
All my days knitting hearts from the wool of our lives
An afghan of love within which we'd thrive
Things done together sunrise to sunset
Each day a journey that gets better yet
And at night I would tell you as you fell asleep
How much that I love you, my heart's yours to keep
