Dreams Were Similar...

There was as a time,our dreams were similar
now we perceive things,so unfamiliar,
give us your hungry,your tired,your poor,
is Lady Liberty being ignored?

The cauldron of plenty,streets paved in gold
dreams of a better life,being put on hold,
freedom to exist with others so free
but at what cost in measuring the fee...

Simple status amid complexities
static forms in verbal atrocities,
...there was a time our dreams were similar,
let's not forget America's character...
