Dreams Lost and Found
A doctor I always wanted to be
With patients sitting in front of me
Telling me all their gruesome tales
I helping them with their many ails.
Physics, algebra and chemistry
But then there came biology
When a poor creature lay before me
I knew a doctor I would never be.
I decided I would have to wait
For God to open another gate
Then I found a gemstones charm
A beauty that I could not harm.
Because of my over sensitive heart
Medicine and I would have to part
For I would never be an internist
I was to become a gemologist.
