Dreams In the Dark, Will They Spark

my nightly muse
can't refuse sleep
I lose what's real

struggling to deal
how I feel. Things
concealed become

bright as the sun,
though it's fun, what's
undone ... is me

It's awesome that you take on different forms, and, although I've never tried this form, I must say you've done well. Very thought-provoking, introspective verse here. Looks like a lot of sparks have been done. Looking forward to more of your thoughts! Always, Laura

Thanks as ever, Laura. I love to try new forms because it keeps things fresh, and challenges me to think in new ways. I get so much inspiration just by reading the variety of awesome talent here on the Soup. We all affect each other in subtle (and not so subtle) ways.

Very kind of you, Andrea. I see that you got a top spot ... very nice :) I might actually try Than-Bauk again sometime. It has the potential to be a beautiful form, it just takes a bit of time to wrap your head around it.

LOve how you did yours. Mine ended up being about a dang criminal pervert. Not posted yet. Maybe I will be able to think up something funnier. haha. This should do well in the contest.

I can relate to this very easily, especially when I started writing. Some of my best lines came to me while still in bed. I wonder why that is? Anyway good luck in the contest. / M

It was my pleasure to read many wonderful grooks :) Thanks for your visit ... and you're correct. The muse is a most fickle mistress!

I know the feeling.....thoughts in the dark seem to flow but when you rise to write them down they are gone.....wished I had a memory. SuZ

I used to get up at odd hours just to pen a few thoughts down, then wake up in the morning to remember what I wrote. I suppose it's a blessing and a curse of the writer!
