Dreams Do Come True

Must I always stand by and
Silently wait for you to notice Me?
Standing quietly in the
Shadows where no one else would see.
Hoping you would notice or maybe then again you just might
Walk on  by,
Never once to notice by then why would you try.
After all ahead of you was a
Path so bold and free,
Why would you turn and, and look at 
Someone as insignificant as Me.
And yet for  one brief moment your
Eyes met mine,
And in that one brief moment it would become   a lifetime.
Two spirits touched in that moment and  knew  we could never part, 
The  beginning of a lifetime we would start.
You turned and smiled at me
As you gently took my hand.
And promised by your side
You forever  wanted me to stand.
It seems that sometimes
dreams  do come true ,
As for me  this dream was a reality for it gave  me you.
